To deactivate (log out of) Prezi:

Note: The ability to install Prezi on up to three different computers is intended to allow you as the license holder to operate Prezi on several devices. It is NOT intended as a way for three different people to gain access to Prezi. For information on acquiring a multiple license account, click here.

Prezi for Windows / Mac needs to be activated upon download, at the end of your 30-day trial, and after your license is annually renewed. This process should work automatically without you noticing, providing that you are connected to the internet. If you are asked to activate your copy of Prezi for Windows/ Mac after your initial download, it is most likely because your 30-day trial has expired, or your license has been renewed and you are not connected to the internet. If you see a message asking you to activate, please close Prezi for Windows / Mac, make sure you are connected to the internet, and reopen the application. You should not be prompted to activate again until your license is automatically renewed the next time.
If you have taken the above steps and are still experiencing problems, please close Prezi for Windows / Mac, ensure that cookies are allowed, and set your internet browser to remember your Prezi.com password. Otherwise you may be prompted to log in every time you open the application.
You may be having problems due to a conflict with an old version of Prezi Desktop that you may have installed on your computer. We seriously recommend removing any previous versions of Prezi Desktop as having two versions of Prezi Desktop installed on your computer may well cause you problems at a later date.

To remove an existing version of Prezi Desktop:

Mac Users:

  • Open your applications folder. Scroll through until you find any existing version of Prezi Desktop and right-click on it. From there select the option to 'Move to Trash'. Alternatively, you can simply drag the Prezi Desktop icon into your Trash folder (usually located at the bottom right of your screen).
